Did you know how much water you take in daily can have an impact on your sex life?
It’s true. Notice that your spunk is particularly spunky … thicker than usual, or less than usual? This can be attributed to your water intake. Notice I say water and not fluids, as other fluids are dehydrating, like coffee.
Ejaculate aside, the amount of water you drink can also be a factor in erectile dysfunction.
According to research, 75% of our bodies are water.
When a human body is dehydrated, we do not have as much blood volume as when we are properly hydrated. Less blood volume causes the blood vessels to become constricted, as there is not enough blood to keep them tense. This then impairs blood flow to all parts of the body, including your penis.
Other side effects of dehydration are fatigue, anxiety, headaches and depression. None of which are really sexy.
The added benefits of being properly hydrated are: better complexion, happy mood, weight loss and just overall better health - and unlike our neighbors over the ditch, water is still (mostly) free in New Zealand.
The average person should have approximately 1.5 litres of water per day. A few factors that will impact on this number are physical exertion, temperature and body size.
So ask Santa for that refillable water bottle of your very own, and bottoms up!
